Ausstellung "Colors in black"

Animationen und Zeichnungen von Liisa Karintaus

The installation "Colors in black" consists of animation and paintings on paper.
In the exhibition Karintaus explores our relationship with time and space with communication media. It can offer us a second life coloring our dreams, desires and also memories from the past.
Liisa Karintaus (b.1977) is a Finnish visual artist. She comes from Lapland and has studied Media art and Fine arts at the University of Lapland, Faculty of Art and Design, in Rovaniemi, Finland and the Concordia University, Faculty of Fine Arts, in Montréal, Canada. She has taken part in joint exhibitions in Finland and abroad since 2001 and has had solo shows since 2002.
In the exhibition "Colors in black" Karintaus presents her recent works, which she has been working with during her stay in Berlin, at the Finnish art residence, since the beginning of October 2008 and in October and November 2007.
